How To Create Space in a Child's room

CHILDREN'S rooms sholud have enough space for all their belogings, as well as room to play and sleep. When a child has to step over piles of clothes and has troulbe finding what he wants, he will end up feeling agitated and frustrated.

  • Remove everything first and place the furniture to make the most of the space. Push the bed against a wall, using it as a barrier on one side of the bed.
  • Move all clothes and toys to the closet, which should come with shelves and drawers.
  • Add a bookshelf or install floating shelves.
  • Remove anything that doesn't belong in the room.
  • Throw away broken toys or torn clothing. Donate or sell items that don't fit or he doesn't play with anymore.
  • If you're saving the items for another baby, store them in the storeroom.
  • Store extra bedding and extra toys in clearly labelled bins or baskets under the bed or on the top shelf of the closet.
